Kashmir is 1 of the burning issue of 2day's world.It is a case of miscoceptions of reality in true sence.The history of kashmir goes deep into history. 1947 the year when india got freedom from u.k. but with cut.agrement was made to divide pre 1947 india into two parts called "India" and "Pakistan".India is and was a lab for different religions.it was also divided into many princly states or kingdoms.as a layout of divison, it was decided that kingdoms with Hindu majority should go to india and opposite is true for pak.But some hindu majority states(kingdoms) had islamic ruler and many islamic majority kingdom had hindu rulers (kashmir was such a case).It was decided that in such states it depended on will of peopel wether they want to go with india or with pak,they were also given an option to remain seperate. till 1948, king of kashmir didn't cleared it's view point.meanwhile pak army attacked kashmir.king of kashmir earged help from india but india clearly said that they can't help as kashmir is not in their area so king signed an aggrement with pt. jawahar lal nehru-pm of india at that time-accoirding to which they merged kashmir with india.
